Air Warfare Symposium
February 21-22
As reported in the last issue of
Newsline, AFA will conduct its 24th Annual Air Warfare Symposium
from February 21-22, 2008, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in
Orlando, Florida.
As an AFA leader, you are invited to attend the symposium which will
be held on Thursday, February 21, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., and
on Friday, February 22, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, at the Rosen
Shingle Creek Hotel.
The standard registration fee for the symposium is $895 for
non-AFA members and $795 for an AFA individual member. However, since it
is important for AFA leaders to attend this national event, there is a special
leader registration fee (see enclosed registration form) for AFA/AEF
National Officers, Region Presidents, Directors, National Committee Members,
State and Chapter Presidents. [Note: Since this is not a directed meeting, this fee
is not reimbursable for AFA leaders.] The registration fee includes both
symposium sessions, a sandwich lunch, a reception/buffet honoring the
symposium speakers on Thursday, and a continental breakfast on
Friday morning. Each AFA leader who registers at this special rate will
be entitled to purchase an additional ticket to the sandwich lunch for $37
and/or the reception/buffet for $150.

mid-December) at www.afa.org. Click on the words "registration open" inside the
Air Warfare Symposium Orlando logo. Click on AFA Leaders, Council
Members, speakers and invited guests on the following page and enter the
registration code 95145 to obtain the special AFA leader rate. If you have any

In support of AFA's Air Warfare Symposium, the Central Florida
Chapter will again sponsor its annual Gala and Golf activities. The golf outing will
be on Walt Disney World's Magnolia and Palm Courses on Wednesday,
February 20, 2008. Individual golfer price is $200 which includes a reception.
Additional reception tickets are available for

black-tie Gala on Friday, February 22. A special AFA leader rate of $150

The cut off date for hotel reservations is January 16, 2008. For
hotel reservations, please refer to the attached form. Please do NOT
contact the hotel directly. If you call the hotel directly, you will NOT obtain
the special AFA rate. Please fax your hotel reservation form to Meghan McClelland (703) 247-5853.
Please note that we have a limited number of hotel rooms at this reduced rate
listed. Reservations for rooms will be accepted on a first-in basis. Once
the hotel is sold out of rooms at the reduced rate, the next available rate
will apply until the hotel has sold out of rooms at that rate or until January
16, whichever comes first. Rooms will then be on a space available basis and at
a much higher rate. We encourage you not to wait but to get your
reservations in now.
